Novelist – Essayist – Thinker

As a child, Susan was often accused of being an Over-Thinker. At midlife, she proudly proclaims: “Guilty as Charged!” Some of the things she is currently thinking about are the South, the dream of (true) majority rule, climate justice, speculative fiction, partnering, friendship, progressive theology, and cooking. She is a big fan of the long horizon.

A writer who combines rare empathy with an exquisite eye for detail.
